How to get through Lockdown v3.0: Maiden's Prayer cocktail

At Last But One Drinks, we have decided to continue to be relentlessly positive - lockdown or no lockdown.  So, here's a sour cocktail to warm you on a cold January day.

The Maiden's Prayer is a take on a classic gin sidecar (gin, Cointreau, citrus, sugar) with overtones of a St Clement's.

Ingredients

45 ml London dry gin

22 ml Cointreau

15 ml freshly squeezed lemon juice

15 ml freshly squeezed orange juice

Orange twist to garnish

Method

Chill a coupe.

Place all ingredients into a cocktail shaker.  Shake over ice for 15-20 seconds.

Double strain into the coupe and garnish with the orange twist.

We bet you can't swallow the first sip without a smile.
